IRIS HAVEN NEW RELEASES

FOR THE 2009/2010 SEASON

SWIRLING WATERS - a rare autumn/winter re-blooming Louisina iris cultivar
Welcome to our New Release page!

In an effort to minimise paper useage, we have made a conscious decision to no longer prepare a colour paper catalogue. Instead, we ask that you inspect our website, where we will have lots of information and a lovely colour photo for each cultivar- and then print off whatever pages you require.

We know that this decision will upset some people, but it will also be a decision that is equally appreciated by others. We hope you are one of the latter! As our sales/enquiries are coming to us more and more via the internet, we have decided to embrace the 'paperless' catalogue idea.

To assist you with your ordering, please check out the ORDER FORM page, where you can email us for an order form in either PDF or Microsoft Word format. When emailing us for an order form - please let us know which format is easier for you.

In the 2009/2010 season we will be releasing the next wonderful group of Peter Jackson's lovely cultivars. We have grown these on for several seasons. All photos of Peter's things will be photos taken by us - unless stated otherwise.

We will also be releasing a number of lovely things for Janet Hutchinson. Her 'grandkids' series are all lovely. I'm sure that there will be one that will enchant you. Janet's WOAD WARRIOR will be in short supply, so if you want one - please let us know ASAP. Her NIMBY is a favourite with us. Read all about how it got such a quirky name below!

Lastly, we will be doing a 'catch-up' for some of our cultivars which have been readily available in the USA via Iris City Gardens for some years.

Our premier releases for the 2009/2010 season will the regular-sized and regular winter re-bloomer, SWIRLING WATERS plus the 'Water Sprite', multi-award winning BLUE MOUNTAIN MIST.

NIMBY is not a miss-spelling of Bindy, or any other '...by' word. It simply means 'Not In My Back Yard' and was given this name due to the cultivar's consistent efforts to grow like a weed in other people's yards - but not in the hybridiers! This is a great garden performer. (Delta Dawn x Koorawatha). AU $25
